High School Regional Champions

  The high school regionals last weekend was a fun event to watch. The teams from the Sunrise section and the Sunset section competed at the Meadows school. For the Sunrise section, the champion was Bryan Miller of Coranado, who defeated Kulkman of Basic 6-1, 6-2. For doubles winner, Chris Painter and Trent Alenik of Siverado defeated Schlegel and McCosh of Coronado, 6-2, 6-0. For the winners on the girls side, Aubry of Coranado defeated Candyance Boney of CS, 6-4, 6-4. The doubles champions were Dalton and Pillai of Coranado who defeated Christina Delaberta and Alicia Holm of Green Valley, 6-0, 6-3. 

 

    As for the Sunset section, Rishi Daulat of Bonanza defeated Lenny Whiting, also from Bonaza, 7-6, (7-4), 6-2, and the boys doubles winners were Lysgaard and Young from Palo Verde, who defeated Austin Schofield and Doug Cannon of Bonaza, 4-6, 6-4, 6-4. The winners for the girls were Briana Moyle from Palo Verde, who defeated Anya Bukina (a Russian exchange student) of the Meadows 6-1, 6-4. And finally the doubles winners, for the girls were James and Rohani of Clark who defeated Cook and Bishop from Bonanza. 6-4, 4-6, 7-5.
