Stacey Darling 9th Annual Charity Classic

4.5 men's singles was won by Kurt Maunz the number two seed, who defeated  David Cox  in a very close match 7-5, 6-4. One or two points have a way of making a huge difference. "Don't sweat the small stuff" is a huge misnomer. The truth is be aware of what you are doing now, "One point at a time" as Tim Blenkiron put it, and what one perceives as the "Big stuff" will take it's course and regardless of the result, if you do what you know is right throughout the whole match then you are satisfied. I lost yesterday in a three set match that was very close and I have not thought about it since. I did everything I knew was right, I did not get upset or compromise my integrity in any way, and stayed aware the whole match. It just so happened I lost. But there are no regrets. Nothing to hash over. I did what I knew was right from going back to my house earlier that morning instead of blowing it off, to making the right and honest calls, to not listening to the various foolish "Thoughts" that came through my head during the match and after.
