I have found that in life, as is true with tennis,
there is a knowing that shows you what to do in the moment, and all one has to
do is follow it and they are taken on an adventure. There is no need to pre-plan
it because you will know what to do when that time comes. I played a match today
and won 6-0, 6-0, and I did not plan a thing. That is not to say I will always
win, but I will always be doing what I know is right, living in awareness and
doing what I intuitively know to do in each moment. Awake...instead of
being lost in the "Thought flurry"
Then there is no "Worry", conflict, getting upset and
the various other symptoms of those who choose to over ride the intuition.
I can not tell you how many times a player who may have
had better Physical skills then me either lost to me outright or gave me a large
number of games, just because they were lost in the mental.
Before my match today "Thoughts " came to me about how
I should play. It wanted me to "Think" about my strokes and how I should hit
them. I let those "Thoughts" pass. When the time came to play my full attention
was on what I was doing and not on that "Game plan", so when the ball came my
way I saw it clearly and simply hit it.
