Lorenzi Championships has begun

Singles and doubles began tonight at the Lorenzi Tennis Championships. Many players and fans were on hand to see the matches. April Chavez took care of checking in each player and making sure they were set up with a court and their free T-Shirt. She herself is not playing in the tournament as there's no ladies 4.5 draw. However her 4.5 team she plays on (Flamingo Hilton Tennis Club) has won the 4.5 Division and will now move on to sectionals in Salt Lake City in August. Click here to read more

Sean and his wife Stephanie Cook defeated  Patti Chess  
and her partner Frederick Irwin in a perennial match up that left them just short of the "Revenge" they were trying to exact. But the former 2.5 players are satisfied with their 3.0 play.

Husband and wife team win 6.0 mixed doubles, Sean Cook and Stephanie Cook. The second place went to Patti Chess and Frederick Irwin. 2-2002.
