There are two places
a person can be...awareness doing what they are led to do, or, in the "Post
game review."
It was interesting today, after I played a two set, 10 point tie break match,
and lost, how the "Post game review" came to me about what I should have done,
what I could have done, where I made the mistake, it went so far as to critique
his game and how I should have played him and so on........Then the "Pre-game
review" of "next time"...and the circle goes round and round.
There are two types of people. Those that dwell in these "Post/Pre game
reviews" , holding on to them as if they were the truth.....and those who notice it as the lie
it is.
The game is over. You can be aware of what you are doing now or you can be
lost in the "Review." That is the choice in life, on the court and after the
court.
I laughed at how foolish this "Review" was, and instead of choosing to
believe and dwell in it, I was aware of what I was doing, which was driving at
the time.
But later as I walked
the isle of trader Joes the "Review" came back.
I once told a person
I was playing that if we plugged a microphone into his head it would be
enlightening.
There are "Thoughts" that come to everyone, but that does not mean they are
the truth.
You can choose to be in this "Review", dwelling on the past and future or one
can choose to be in awareness doing what they are led to do now.
The same is true if you win....The game is over.
Like the movie, The All American...which described the life of a has been
college football hero, and how he and others were caught up in reviewing the
past touchdowns; But more and more his life fell apart.
The game is now.
The last game is over.
