This event was the biggest local junior tournament in Las Vegas Tennis history, with over 300 entries. It was so big, only the singles could be played. Yet I kept one draw of doubles and played it, as it may be the first 12 and under mixed doubles draw in Las Vegas.

Hannah Barnum had this brain child and  Valerie Shively, whose dad is aforementioned, and Dollie and Jim Kurtz's son Brandin, played mixed 12 together. When word got out, numerous other teams popped up, with Chrissie Uriarte and Toby Miclat getting in and winning, and Danae Ingwaldson and Devon Morrissey playing as well. It is cute and everything, but a lot of these kids can really hit the ball, and my adult mixed doubles team members I had at BALLY'S were amazed with the juniors skill.

And that is why I put Juniors and adults together. Like TB said, what was great about this event is it is the first time the junior players were really watching the open players, and loving it.

Loving the fresh squeezed orange juice, apple juice , provided by Wild Oats and NAKED JUICES.

Loving the snap peas, that although are as healthy as can be,  are as good if not better then the Doritos. But unlike Doritos they don't take  away your athletic energy in the long run.

Why would a person eat food that is not healthy? You say it "tastes good", but so does almost everything Wild Oats put out. You may not like everything but no one does. Many people drinking the NAKED FRESH SQUEEZED ORANGE JUICE AND APPLE (Mark Kawka), have a whole new outlook on how great fresh squeezed juice is. Having mostly the not fresh "Concentrate" juices, you forget how great FRESH SQUEEZED JUICE is.

I remember as a kid going certain places that had fresh squeezed juice and it was always something I liked. Yet as the years came on I just got what ever was there, a soda or whatever. Now I can not settle for second best. If I am in an airport and all they have is the regular juice, fine. I will drink, otherwise I am at WILD OATS having their mango, orange  blueberry and many others drinks. They taste better then soda and give you the right kind of energy, without the crash and spaz of soda. So being able to have Wild Oats out here sponsoring this event was close to my heart as I know the store is an amazing place to eat, drink and be merry.
